WARNING NOTICE
Regarding Unauthorized Supply of FURUNO Equipment
LLC “EURUS”, being the official distributor, service and technical partner of FURUNO products within the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), including the Russian Federation, hereby formally notifies all foreign companies currently supplying or intending to supply FURUNO equipment into the above-mentioned territories outside the official distribution channel of the following.
Any supply of FURUNO equipment into EAEU member states without prior coordination and authorization through LLC “EURUS” shall be considered an unauthorized supply performed in violation of the manufacturer’s established distribution, service and technical support policy.
LLC “EURUS”, together with FURUNO and its authorized global service structure, continuously monitors and controls equipment supplied into the region, including but not limited to:
- identification and verification of serial numbers;
- tracing of equipment origin and supply chain;
- monitoring of distribution channels;
- verification of registration and service status of equipment;
- detection of equipment supplied outside the official distribution network.
In the event unauthorized supply of FURUNO equipment into any EAEU member state is identified:
- serial numbers of such equipment will be permanently marked within the global service system as unauthorized equipment;
- manufacturer warranty coverage will be immediately and irrevocably voided;
- technical support and official service support will be permanently denied;
- access to software updates, firmware upgrades, technical bulletins and engineering documentation will be terminated;
- such equipment will not be accepted for official service, maintenance or repair by authorized FURUNO service centers;
- information regarding the origin and supply channel of such equipment will be forwarded to the manufacturer and relevant participants of the global FURUNO service network.
The above restrictions are permanent, non-reversible and shall remain applicable throughout the entire operational lifetime of the equipment, regardless of resale, transfer of ownership, vessel reflagging or change of operating region.
Furthermore, information regarding identified unauthorized supplies may be taken into consideration during interaction with classification societies, shipyards, shipowners, service organizations and other participants of the maritime industry.
LLC “EURUS” considers any unauthorized supply of FURUNO equipment into EAEU member states as actions creating direct technical, operational and reputational risks for end users, shipowners and the manufacturer.
In order to avoid the above consequences, all foreign suppliers, traders and intermediaries are strongly requested to coordinate any intended supply of FURUNO equipment into EAEU member states exclusively through LLC “EURUS”.
